Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson testified before the United States Congress on Tuesday as a law enforcement official and he called for sanctuary city leaders to be arrested for disobeying Federal Law.
Mr. Thomas Hodgson spoke in front of the House Subcommittee on Illegal Immigration and he described how sanctuary cities have become actual magnets for illegal immigrants, many of which have (violent) criminal records.
Sheriff Thomas Hodgson went on to saying that if the infamous sanctuary cities will continue to conceal and harbor criminal illegal immigrants from ICE, they’ll be in direct violation of Title 8 of the U.S. Code, and their elected officials must be served with federal arrest warrants.
Proceeding as such, US citizens will be kept safe and according to Mr. Thomas Hodgson, (stating the obvious) law enforcement and elected officials in sanctuary cities should never turn a blind eye nor stop enforcing the law of the land concerning illegal aliens, regardless of one’s political agenda.
He also blasted a Massachusetts legislator whom he accused of passing along rumors (on her Facebook account) of an upcoming ICE raid in Brockton on Tuesday and Wednesday, thus warning her undocumented (read illegal aliens) constituents to avoid going out on the street and to never open the door to their homes if they don’t know who it is.
Sheriff Thomas Hodgson described Rep. Michelle DuBois, D-Brockton’s actions as outrageous:
“This is the most outrageous, outrageous example of what is going on across the United States that is undermining my job and every other law enforcement officer in the United States,”
DuBois dismissed the sheriff’s accusations, saying that the rumors about the upcoming ICE raid in Brockton were already wide spread:
“Passing information along that is already all-over the community, not only lets the people I represent know what is happening, it lets ICE know that everyone in Brockton is aware of ICE’s planned raid (if there was one). Having ICE know that this rumor is ramped allows them to change the date if they feel the public’s knowledge of the raid will bring them into danger.”
It seems like enforcing the law is a novel idea for Democrats across the United States, after AG Sessions Monday announcement that sanctuary cities must end once and for all under the punishment of losing federal money.
