President Trump described the Affordable Care Act also known as Obamacare as a “meaningless promise” on Monday, using his position as leverage for trying to motivate Senate Republicans to take action and finally repeal and replace the legislation which, according to the POTUS:
“For the last 17 years Obamacare has wreaked havoc on the lives of innocent, hard working Americans,”
Truth be told, just seven years have passed since Obamacare became the law of the land, but let that go, it’s an easy mistake to make in the heat of the moment. The POTUS also attacked Democrats for their lack of cooperation and blasted their cunning messaging strategy and their obstructionist tactics against the REP efforts:
They say death, death, death. Well, Obamacare is death. That’s the one that’s death.”
said the Donald from the Roosevelt Room as he was accompanied by families he described as victims of Obamacare. Basically, President Trump put the GOP on notice as he assembled a number of families who were seriously affected by Obamacare.
President Trump: “Either side with Obamacare’s architects or with its silent victims… The American people have waited long enough. There’s been enough talk and no action. Now is the time for action. “
