A brawl broke out during Turkish President Erdogan’s speech in New York, as his bodyguards can be seen beating American protesters (video below). Recep Tayyip Erdogan delivered a speech (in Turkish) at a New York hotel on Thursday afternoon, but he was interrupted by a small number of protesters who disrupted the event by screaming in English: “You’re a terrorist! Get out of my country!”.
The event that was taking place at Marriott Marquis hotel was related to the Turkish American National Steering Committee. It’s interesting to notice that President Erdogan’s bodyguards who beat up Americans on Thursday are the same exact people who were recently indicted with regard to a similar brawl in Washington DC, during which they also violently attacked protesters chanting against Erdogan.

As soon as Turkey’s president entered the stage, a protester broadcasting live on Periscope shouted “You’re a terrorist! Get out of my country!” and all Hell broke loose, with protesters causing mayhem while being engaged by bodyguards and security guards, who forced them out of the room. As protesters tried to exit the premises, they were pummeled by punches, marking for the second visit of Erdogan’s in the US which ends up in protests and violence.

No arrests were made this time, even if the NYPD briefly detained 5 people connected with the incidents, all of them protesters of course.
