According to Gilles de Kerchove, who is the European Union’s counter-terrorism coordinator, the United Kingdom is Europe’s hotbed for Islamic terrorism, as the country is currently harboring at least 35,000 Islamic jihadists. Due to the shocking figure, Gilles de Kerchove singled out the United Kingdom as having the most radicalized Muslims compared to any European country, describing the 35,000 as “fanatical Islamists”, which is a politically correct term for potential terrorists.
Just to give you some perspective, France “only” has 17,000 jihadists while other areas in the European Union are home for tens of thousands combined, or at least that’s the official figure. It looks like EU officials are completely incapable to understand how to deal with Islamic terrorism in UK and elsewhere in the Western world, as they’re subjecting their citizens to immense dangers in what appears to be an appalling neglect of duty (read open borders policies with zero vetting, allowing radical imams to preach in mosques/allowing ISIS jihadists to return in the West after fighting in Syria/Afghanistan/Iraq etc).
Another thing that is helping jihadists and radicalized Muslims is the Left’s enforcing of political correctness in mainstream media and the continuous use of made up terms like islamophobia, which are curtailing free speech and are aimed at shutting down criticism of radical Islamic ideology. Gilles de Kerchove warned on jihadists tactics by saying:
that radicals were increasingly using the islamic concept of “taqiyya” – concealing their religious beliefs from those around them – in order to prevent detection.
For example, after every terrorist attack, Muslim clerics/the Muslim community “condemn terrorism”, but they don’t denounce/renounce those passages from Islam’s texts (Koran, Hadith, Sirah) which drive the terror of violent jihad.
Gilles de Kerchove added:
France has 17,000 [jihadists]. Spain many less, but more than 5,000 I suppose. In Belgium almost 500 have been to Syria and there are around 2,000 radicals or more.
I wouldn’t like to put a concrete figure on it, but (in Europe) tens of thousands, more than 50,000.
We must select those who are really worrying and the most dangerous, and they should be monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”
How do we detect the first signals (of radicalisation), no matter how weak they are? They succeeded in preparing the attacks under the radar.
We will suffer more attacks. Most, except for Brussels and Paris, were not directed from Raqqa, but they were inspired there. And later Islamic State claims responsibility.
The propaganda of the organisation no longer requires people to go to the caliphate. They can attack in their places or origin, including on a small scale with home-made weapons.”
said European Union’s counter-terrorism coordinator in an interview for the Spanish paper El Pais.
