US Set to Ban Tourists from Visiting North Korea, Urges all Americans to Depart Immediately

north korea travel ban

We can safely assume Dennis Rodman was very disappointed at the news that the United States government is set to ban all US citizens from visiting North Korea in the near future. The information arrived to us via 2 agencies which operate North Korea-tours (yes, there are clueless Americans trying to visit that hell-hole and to pay for the so-called privilege).

Young Pioneer Tours and Koryo Tours said the respective travel interdiction will be announced next week, on July 27th, with the ban coming into full effect thirty days later, on August 27th. This long-awaited travel interdiction follows the tragic death of the American student Otto Warmbier, who was basically assassinated after being imprisoned and tortured by the rogue Pyongyang regime. According to the BBC article:

“After the 30-day grace period any US national that travels to North Korea will have their passport invalidated by their government.”

Young Pioneer Tours is a China-based travel agency and the same one which helped Otto Warmbier to visit that crazy fat kid’s oppressive and criminal regime. According to an agency spokesman, the travel interdiction is to be announced on July 27th with a thirty day grace period (the date marks/pays homage to the anniversary of the end of the bloody Korean war). Koryo Tours was announced about the travel interdiction by the Swedish embassy in North Korea’s capital Pyongyang. The Swedish embassy handles consular affairs for the US government in North Korea, as the United States doesn’t have one. Also, there’s no information on how long the travel ban will last. The thirty days grace-period was set for giving leeway for any American citizens currently in North Korea on humanitarian work or as tourists.

Until the ban will come into full effect, the aforementioned travel agencies will continue to conduct tours for US citizens in North Korea. All US nationals currently on North Korean soil were advised to depart immediately. It is not clear if this travel ban and the urge to clear out all United States nationals from North Korea is a precursor to kinetic action by the US military against the rogue communist regime in Pyongyang.
