Every time a mass shooting takes place, the left is pushing its anti-gun/anti 2nd amendment agenda before the bodies get cold. Following the Las Vegas massacre, numerous voices on the left, both politicians and their mainstream media mouthpieces, immediately politicized the horrific event, accusing Republicans of sanctioning murder, calling the National Rifle Association a terrorist organization and hinting that white men are the problem in America, as they’re the source of all evil. And obviously, they ask for more gun control.
So, what else is new?
What nobody is talking about when it comes to gun-related violence and crime rates in the USA is this: crime rates differ massively by race or ethnicity, but facts tend to be racist when they’re not following the leftist narrative. Stick with me on this one, it’s really simple.
The apparently high gun crime rates in America are due to 2 simple facts:
First, 60% of gun deaths are suicides. Yes, you got that right, 6 out of ten deaths which enter the “gun-crime statistics” are people killing themselves, but the media never tells you that. More people die in gun suicides than gun homicides, but you can’t gain political points on that via anti-gun rhetoric.
Secondly, and very politically incorrect, there are dramatic differences in crime rates due to the perpetrator’s race/ethnicity. For example, Asians have the lowest crime rates, followed by whites, Hispanics and African Americans. This pattern remains constant for basically all types of crime categories, regardless of age.
Despite being just 13 percent of the US population, African Americans commit about half of the homicides (52%) and 57% of gun homicides, including 66% of the drug related homicides. That’s why they are more likely to be shot by police, i.e. they commit significantly more violent crimes per capita than whites, Latinos or Asians. And check this out: 90% of their victims are in their own communities, i.e. other black people.
It’s worth mentioning that Hispanics also have significantly higher homicide rates than whites, yet many Hispanics identify themselves in Census polls as being racially white, which further skews the statistics.
