Lakes are a dime a dozen on planet Earth. The latest world count revealed that there were over 117 million lakes in the world, a lot less than the previous number of 304 million. And out of those numbers, only a few caught our eye; 10 to be exact.
All the lakes in our list are special in some way, whether it be its shape, its color, its properties, its appearance or what goes on inside it, they all have at least one quality that makes them stand out from the rest.
