Arrests of Illegal Immigrants Up 38% Nationwide Under Donald Trump

Despite the mainstream media drama, things are going pretty good for President Trump’s agenda, as we just got word that immigration arrests are up 38% nationwide under the new administration. Obviously, the leftist mainstream media is obsessing on fake news and self-made scandals, i.e. you will never read this kind of stuff in WaPo or the NYT, as their mission is not to inform the public but to bash the POTUS 24/7. But let that go.

Together with the huge spike in the arrests of undocumented/illegal immigrants all across America, the border crossings are down almost 70 percent as per 2017 numbers, hence we can speak of a huge success for President Trump after he signed an executive order aimed at enhancing immigration enforcement. According to very recent data from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the arrests of illegal immigrants are up 38% compared to the same period from last year.

Thomas Homan, the acting ICE Director told the press how his agency is now focusing on what President Trump has described repeatedly as bad hombres, i.e. illegal aliens with criminal records. However, according to data, the biggest bump (156% increase compared to last year’s numbers) in arrests numbers is involving illegal aliens without a criminal record.

In the first 4 months of 2017 ICE arrested 10,485 illegal immigrants, compared to the 4242 people with immigration violations arrested during Barack Obama’s last year in office during the same time period.

Of all the illegal aliens arrested by ICE in 2017, 75% had a criminal record. When asked by liberal media why is ICE arresting illegals without criminal records, Thomas Homan responded with a proper dose of red-pill sarcasm:

“I get asked a lot why we arrest somebody that’s not a criminal. Those who do enter the country illegally, they do violate the law, that is a criminal act.”

Under the new administration, ICE was instructed to focus on all illegal aliens for deportation, i.e. not only the convicted felons, but basically any illegal that is considered to be a risk to public safety or national security.
