A man is on the run following a horror-movie-like chainsaw attack in the city of Schaffausen, Switzerland. Schaffausen is a small city in northern Switzerland, right near the border with Germany. Currently, the city is in complete lock-down after five people were injured by a chainsaw wielding attacker.
A huge manhunt is currently underway. Two people were seriously injured by the perpetrator and they are receiving treatment. According to early reports, despite of the fact that Switzerland is a country which does not have draconian gun laws, witnesses described how people were barricading inside shops and other businesses to escape the chainsaw wielding attacker whose identity remains unknown.

The video above depicts panic shoppers looking at security forces sealing off Schaffausen’s town center’s cobbled streets. According to a local paper, Blick respectively, an elderly man was rushed to the hospital with horrific head wounds. The town was completely sealed off by the police while helicopters are circling above the northern part of Schaffausen. Citizens were warned to avoid the city’s center and to stay alert.
Since Merkel’s “cultural enrichment” of Europe in 2015 when Germany opened its borders to massive immigration from Africa and the Middle East, nothing like that ever happened in Switzerland.
Stay tuned for updates.
