London terrorist attack

London Metro Police have just revealed the first photos showcasing the fake suicide belts used by the London Bridge terrorists. The pictures released offer us a glimpse into the terrorists’ minds, i.e. they used a clever strategy for deterring people from fighting them while they engaged in the knife-rampage. These fake belts were attached to the terrorists as they were shot dead by security forces. According to officials, they looked genuine.

Al three Islamic terrorists wore the fake suicide belts, reads a statement released on Sunday by London Metropolitan Police. Each belt was  DIY-ed using 3 plastic water bottles covered in silver duct tape then attached to the belt. This defensive tactic was never seen before. Besides protection against the police, the fake suicide belts added to the victims’ fear, who believed the terrorists are going to detonate themselves. Truth be told, these fake explosive belts make the bravery of regular citizens and the police who took on the terrorists even more impressive. As the official police statement puts it:

“The belt would have been visible to them and if you are fighting back or aiming a shot at someone wearing the device you would clearly be very aware that you could be caught in an explosion,”

The three ISIS connected Islamic terrorists who slammed a van intro revelers on the London Bridge were identified as Youssef Zaghba, Rachid Redouane and Khuram Shazad Butt.
